MONDAY 3RD FEBRUARY
6.00pm in the PUBLIC HALL
This meeting is being held to discuss and put together the ideal solution for residents who currently use or would use public transport along the key route of Bridport – Beaminster- Crewkerne – Yeovil and villages along the route. It is important to collect real time evidence of current and potential use and how that information is managed AT PACE is essential.
There is no doubt that the case for the geographical area can be made, in real terms, of rural isolation and the requirement to access essential services such as medical facilities, employment, libraries, higher/further education, work experience and training amongst many other needs.
Everyone is welcome – this is the opportunity to look forward, to find a solution, to help the work of Dorset Travel and commercial organisations to provide a viable long term approach to a successful transport service.
There were some really helpful points raised at the Town Council meeting on 28th January, these can be built on with evidence and data to secure a credible need for the Bridport – Yeovil corridor bus service.
In the meanwhile please email Christine Bright (the Town Clerk) or Councillor Mrs Rebecca Knox if you have any comments, questions and importantly any future commitment you can show for the route.
