Beaminster’s Got Talent -> Join the Movement
Beaminster is a melting pot of all kinds of talent. From singers to artists, sculptors to tap dancers, we know you have what it takes to wow a crowd! And while we’re stuck at home, we’ve decided to launch Beaminster’s Got Talent! A virtual talent show that will aim to expose all of the amazing talents that Beaminster has to offer.

How it works:
We’re looking for joke tellers, singers, musicians, dancers, hand-standers, or even your 4-legged friend doing his favourite trick and more! If you’ve got a talent to share, all you need to do is make a video of yourself and send it through to us via email or WhatsApp no later than 30 April 2020.

Video details:
Videos need to be filmed in landscape (horizontal) format, and shouldn’t be longer than 2 minutes. All videos will be uploaded onto our public YouTube Channel by the team.
Deadline:
All videos need to be submitted by the end of 30 April 2020. An independent committee will then vote for their favourite videos, and winners will be announced Friday 8 May 2020, via Discover Beaminster’s social media channels, and website. Judges will be looking for videos that show particular prowess and high levels of entertainment!
What’s up for grabs:
Win a gift voucher to spend in one of our amazing Beaminster Businesses! It may be a meal voucher to enjoy a tasty lunch, or it may be a gift voucher to splurge on something special for you and a friend – the perfect celebration when we’ve all moved through the Coronavirus mayhem.
The Fine Print:
Submitting your video, you give us permission to upload this to YouTube and any other social media platform necessary for promotion of Beaminster. By submitting your video, you agree to waiver any right to inspect or approve the Video Content or printed or electronic matter that may be used in conjunction with such content now or in the future and you waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of the Video Content.
You also agree to grant Discover Beaminster, including the Beaminster Town Council and any of its subsidiaries, licensees, contractors the right to use your name and surname in this video contest.
Competition is open to anyone in and around Beaminster, falling into the BAVLAP area, which includes the market town of Beaminster and surrounding villages & parishes.
Winners will be decided and announced by Friday 8 May. All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes cannot be replaced by cash alternatives, and will be presented and awarded at the discussion of the judging committee.
