We’ve had word from the Dorset Council about upcoming scheduled maintenance road works, so we’ve summarised them for you here:
20 April 2020: 5 days – TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF HOGSHILL STREET, BEAMINSTER
DORSET COUNCIL has made a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Hogshill Street, Beaminster between its junction with Woodlands and its junction with Clay Lane, a distance of approximately 650 metres. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 20 April 2020 between 19:00 and 06:00 and remain in force for five days, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 24 April 2020.

24 April 2020: 5 days – TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FLEET STREET, BEAMINSTER
DORSET COUNCIL has made a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Fleet Street, Beaminster from its junctions with A3066 and North Street, for a distance of approximately 120 metres. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 24 April 2020 between 19:00 and 06:00 and remain in force for five days, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 25 April 2020.

27 April 2020: 5 days – TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF TUNNEL ROAD, BEAMINSTER
DORSET COUNCIL has made a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Tunnel Road, Beaminster between its junction with Clay Lane and its junction with Fairfield, a distance of approximately 410 metres. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 27 April 2020 between 08:30 and 17:00 and remain in force for five days, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 April 2020.
