Beaminster is abundant with business-owners. Not just the shops you see in the high-street, but service providers and sole trading, self-employed superheroes who have chosen to build a business, either alone or with others, in Beaminster.
From architects to lawyers, accountants, marketers, tree surgeons, garden landscapers, plumbers, carpenters, cleaners to carers – Beaminster is a hub of industry far beyond the shop-fronts you see every day.
And in today’s economic climate, sticking together and helping each other to become stronger and grow together, has never been more critical. Just before Covid-19 a group of local businesses started to get together to create a business group called BOB (Businesses of Beaminster), and although there was great interest shared in doing this, Covid-19 hit, and all plans were put on hold.
A number of business owners in the town are keen to resurrect this now that we’re all starting to find our feet again, and thanks to Gary Bartelings’ (Beyond Capricorn) fantastic updates all through the pandemic, we are keen to grow the network even more – especially so that business owners continue to maintain their voice in the Town.
So, What’s Happening?
An online business get-together is taking place on Monday, 7 December at 6pm via Zoom with the aim to
- provide an overview of some of the initiatives the Town Council has planned, and has been running and to gather feedback in order to keep improving
- establish and discuss new ways for Beaminster businesses to be involved in initiatives
- provide a forum for everyone to get to know each other a little more.
The get together is meant for *anyone* in Beaminster who runs a business (even if you’re the only one involved!).
