The Prout Bridge Project is on the hunt for a new Treasurer to join the team.
The Prout Bridge Project has an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team. Here’s what you need to know:
The Prout Bridge Project is a small but growing charitable organisation with ambitious plans, to widen our reach and expand upon our services. The Board of Trustees require a Treasurer to join our team.
The Prout Bridge Project started in 2016 to take over running youth clubs in Beaminster from Dorset County Council when their funding was cut. Grown out of that foundation in work with young people, the Prout Bridge Project has evolved quickly, and now actively works to support people of all ages living in and around the town with more activities, facilities and services.
We are seeking a Treasurer, who will play a key and central role on the Board scrutinising and supporting our charity finances. For this role, a qualified finance professional, with skills and experience in accountancy, audit and strategic financial management would be desirable with the right level of motivation and commitment to join the Board.
Experience of working within a similar role would be an advantage but not essential as individuals with no prior experience of working at Trustee level are welcome to get in touch.
As Treasurer you will form part of the Board who are responsible for setting the strategy and policies of the Prout Bridge Project, guiding and supporting the manager and their staff.
Becoming a Trustee not only gives you the chance to make a difference to the lives of individuals, of all ages within our community, but also the opportunity to shape our vision and develop your own skills with the support of our existing Trustees.
We are committed to ensuring we have a range of diverse experience on the Board. This enables us to benefit on the Board from the very diversity that we seek to achieve in society.
Board meetings are held once a month via zoom at present due to current COVID restrictions. This is an unremunerated position.
