The Scarecrows are on their way
This August Beaminster will be awash with our true British Icons.. From Bowie to Bond, Freddy to Fonteyn and Del Boy to The Doctor… they could all be here! Who actually arrives is up to you. Create your very own British Icon Scarecrow and display it throughout August for everyone to enjoy. Once August is over bring your Scarecrow down to the Playing Field from 9.30am on 3rd September for the The Grand Judging which will take place at 10.30am.The winning Scarecrow wins £50 in vouchers to spend in the town.
This year the Scarecrow Judging is part of the Beamin’ Family Festival day which will also include a Bowl Jam at the Skatepark (hosted by Maverick), stalls, entertainment and live music. The Beamin’ Festival is hosted by Poundbury Events https://www.facebook.com/events/700861774546020
In addition to building scarecrows we also have our scarecrow trail where you follow the trail to find a secret word, complete the form and you could win a £25 voucher to spend in the town. The Scarecrow Trail runs throughout the whole of August and the winners will be drawn at the Scarecrow Judging.
