VACANT SEAT ON THE TOWN COUNCIL

Following the resignation of Rachel Goode a vacancy exists on Beaminster Town Council.

To be eligible to take a seat on the Town Council you must meet one of the criteria set out in the Local Government Act 1972 section 79 –

•  a Beaminster resident on the electoral register

•  have a business in the town

•  work in the town

•  normal residence is within 3 miles of Beaminster

If you are interested – please submit your written application which should include your name, address, personal attributes and why you would like to join the council, addressed to the Town Clerk at the Council Office, 8 Fleet Street, Beaminster, Dorset no later than 12.00 noon on Tuesday 16th July 2024.

The Council intends to fill the vacant seat by co-option at a meeting of the Town Council to be held on Tuesday 23rd July 2024.
