VE Day 80 Celebration Events
We are excited to announce that we will be marking VE Day 80 – the 80th anniversary – in style with a shared moment of celebration.
Events in the town will be taking place on Thursday 8th and Saturday 10th May and will culminate in a wonderful Victory Celebration Party in the Memorial Playing Fields on Sunday 11th May.

in St. Mary’s Church
with Crewkerne Phoenix Brass Band

Our VE Day 80 Victory Celebration Party will take place on Sunday 11th May in the Memorial Playing Fields from 12-6pm – FREE ENTRY
There will be table seating, areas for picnicking if you prefer, and a marquee for music and stalls. Please arrive at noon to enjoy the Bagpiper who will lead the Wessex Military Band while seating takes place.
There will be plenty of food and drink stalls offering a wide variety of options for lunch and throughout the afternoon and five different bands providing music for every taste. The wonderful Rachel Goode will be compering the event for us.
It’s going to be a fantastic celebration for the town and we hope to see as many of you as possible there with us
