Scarecrow Trail Summer Challenge

The 2025 Trail is here and this year the theme is FARMING .

It would be fantastic if business owners and residents could help us make this a big, enjoyable and fun event for the Town.

As in previous years, the Council has provided a trail map to follow. Make a note of the letters you find, work out the secret word and return the form to the Council Office by noon on Friday 1st September. A £25 voucher to spend in a Beaminster shop of your choosing will be awarded to two lucky winners.

The fun doesn’t stop there. This year we want EVERYONE to be involved so we are bringing back the ‘Best Scarecrow’ competition with prizes for the winners kindly sponsored by Bramble & Rose Garden Care and Toller Trailers. We would like your scarecrow to be part of the BEST SCARECROW Competition (those that form part of the official trail will be automatically entered). To take part, please contact Cllr Daniel Biggs at [email protected] with your address and he will photograph your scarecrow at the end of August for the public vote. Voting will take place across a few days in early September followed by a prize giving ceremony.

The competition will run for the month of August, so grab your wellies and straw hat, be creative and post your scarecrow on social media for us all to enjoy
