From the 2nd -5th June this year the nation will celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee marking her 70 years as Monarch and Head of the Commonwealth.
The four days of celebrations will include public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflection on The Queen’s 70 years of service. For more details on the Jubilee please go to https://www.royal.uk/platinum-jubilee-central-weekend
We are planning our own local celebration events in Beaminster and will post updates when we have further details. Initial ideas include a Church Service and Beacon Lighting Ceremony on Thursday 2nd June and a Jubilee Lunch Street Party on Sunday 5th June.
