A3066 Road Closure
The A3066 at Hogshill Street, Beaminster will close from 09.30 on Monday, 3rd April with the aim to reopen the road during the afternoon of Tuesday, 4th April. This road is closed to enable SGN safe access to lay a new gas service.
ALL BUSINESSES IN THE TOWN WILL BE OPEN AS USUAL.
SGN have reassured residents that the closure will be kept to a minimum and Beaminster Town Council would be grateful if drivers would adhere to the closure and please not move barriers.
The Town Council urges local drivers be considerate to Beaminster residents and avoid using Church Street & Shadrack Street as a diversion route. This route is not suitable for heavy traffic and some larger vehicles have previously become stuck where they are unable to turn the sharp and narrow corners, causing considerable traffic congestion. Furthermore, any hold ups in these narrow streets cause problems with access for the emergency services. Thank you for your understanding and consideration. Let’s all work together!
