The Jurassic Coast Collective is a website, similar to Etsy, which gives people the option to upload and sell their locally-made products. Limited to this region only, the platform aims to give local creators the chance to showcase and sell their creations where things like morning markets and gift shops no longer allow.
Started by the team that also runs the Bridport Coronavirus Support group, their aim was to extend the available help and encourage small traders to continue trading while also encourage shoppers to buy local. It’s no secret that our area has an incredible amazing community spirit, and holds an abundance of crafts and arts produced locally.
If you want to sell products
Becoming a vendor on the site is easy. You register your details and create a profile for yourself. Once all approved, you can then start to upload your products, giving them a price, and getting them ready for sale. The categories for selling include jewelry & accessories, clothes & shoes, art & collectibles, home & living, toys & entertainment, vintage, furniture & upholstery, crafts, and food & drink. And if you’re not sure whether your product is suitable to be sold on the website, the team are on hand to help in whatever way they can.
