The Yarn Barton Centre is Open for Business!
It’s been a bumpy year – and our favourite Yarn Barton, the source of so much valuable information, updates and happy smiles, has had to close its doors for a considerable period of time. BUT, we’re happy to report, that they’re back open and ready to welcome you back!
What is the Yarn Barton Centre?
The Yarn Barton is Beaminster’s drop-in information centre. Run entirely by volunteers, the Yarn Barton centre, located in Fleet Street offers all who visit a wide variety of services. They help visitors and residents with information, advice and support on everything related to living & working in, and visiting beautiful Beaminster.
Services include:
• Local Information
• Free drop-in computers with internet access
• Printing, photocopying and laminating
• Food bank collection point
• Walking information, OS maps and maps of the area
• Local transport information
• Car parking permits
• Recycling boxes
• Gallery of local artists
• Greetings card sales
• Poster display
What are their opening hours?
Until further notice, the opening hours for the Yarn Barton Centre will be Mon-Sat from 10.00am – 12.30pm. During these times, the team will be on hand to answer any questions, point you in the direction if you’re looking for information, help you with various services that they offer, and more.
What do I need to know?
Covid-19 restrictions will be in place regarding social distancing and numbers inside at any one time, and all visitors will be asked to wear a face covering.
