This week signals what *would have* been the 2020 Beaminster Festival. So, for a moment, imagine the bunting and the electric excitement bubbling that usually turns Beaminster into a hub of theatrical and musical and creative explosion that is the Beaminster Festival. But this year, unfortunately, plans were scuppered.
And more importantly, it would have been the Festival’s 25th anniversary!
That’s not to say, however, that we can’t still have a chance to explore a little bit of it in a different way. The Festival team continues to fly the flag for 2020, and has introduced a wonderful initiative called “Meet The Performers”.
Here’s what the Lois Pearson, Artistic Director for the Festival, says about it:
“We have been overwhelmed by the kind messages of support from our local community, festival-goers and artists. Over the next few days we will be entertaining you at home with our series of ‘Beaminster Festival Meet The Performers’ which will feature personal messages and music clips from some of the artists who were due to perform this year.”
So, make sure you don’t miss out on all the amazing snippets this week. All you need to do is email firstname.lastname@example.org and get them to add you to the list.
